The sun shone, the walkers enjoyed the gentle ramble along the beautiful Flitch Way. We were entertained en route by a specially designed photo quiz to highlight specific sights to be found along the path between Braintree and Rayne. Once at Rayne we had the opportunity to visit the lovely café for tea and cake, eaten during a very interesting talk about the history of the railway line and how the railway carriage museum there came about. (It was delivered on the back of a low loader, that must have been quite a sight!). An excellent example to highlight the attractions combining rail travel and walking for leisure.
