Essex and South Suffolk Community Rail Partnership had a launch at Witham Railway Station where the Mayor of Witham, Councillor Clare Lager, cut the ribbon at the unveiling ceremony. History boards are a great way to put passengers in touch with their local history, connecting the station to the local community and improving the station environment. Witham is not the only station with a history board. Alresford, Bures, Harwich Town, Hockley, Rayleigh, Rochford, Southend Victoria and Southminster have also now got one.
