The new trains which are transforming our branch lines are different types. The bi-modes are the type seen in operation now on the Gainsborough Line, bringing extra capacity, air conditioning, wifi and additional power and usb sockets. The other type is the Class 720 suburban trains. Testing, commissioning and training are going very well so far. Greater Anglia are looking at later this year for the first trains entering passenger service. The first deployment will probably be on the Southend line. We are all looking forward to seeing them throughout our branch line network.
