Wrabness
Wrabness is a pleasant village on the south side of the broad estuary of the River Stour. In 1848 the village comprised some 330 inhabitants and 1056 acres of land which belonged to the Abbey of Bury St. Edmunds. Wrabness is a fine example of a traditional and relatively unspoilt village and is well worth a visit. As you leave the station you will see the beautifully maintained railway themed garden where you are welcome to sit awhile and take in the view. Sights of particular interest in the village include: All Saints which is a fine example of a Norman Church, a beautiful nature reserve developed on the riverside site and the beach huts set down the track leading to Jaques Bay.
