White Notley
White Notley station is a small station, located on the outskirts of White Notley itself, which is a small english village with a primary school, Public House, Post Office, Village Hall and a 10th Century Church. The village has a population of fewer than five hundred inhabitants.
The John Ray Walk which was named after John Ray (1627-1705 who was born in the nearby village of Black Notley) who pioneered the classification of plants and animals he was also an influential philosopher and theologian, runs 9 miles linking the towns of Braintree and Witham and runs through the lovely countryside of the Brain Valley.
