North Fambridge

alt Is a small village that lies on the north bank of the River Crouch. The station was originally called Fambridge Station and was renamed on 20th May 2007 to North Fambridge Station which was sensible as South Fambridge is over fifteen miles away by road. The station has a pretty garden area including an anchor; the garden is sponsored by Fambridge Yacht Haven.
in 2006 and 2007 north fambridge won bronze in the anglia in bloom competitions,also In 2010 North Fambridge won National Express’s best small station award.

Blue House Farm Nature Reserve over 600 acres in size owned by Essex Wildlife Trust since 1998. The working farm comprises mainly coastal grazing marsh as well as salt marsh and mudflats. It is important for a wide range of wildlife including skylarks, widgeon, grebes, ducks and wintering wildfowl such as Brent geese.there are two expanses of open water known as fleets with hides for those who wish to observe wildfowl. The area is also an important habitat for rare water beetles. The farm is accessible at all times via a public footpath

At the end of the village is the quaint 500 year old Ferry Boat Inn which you can visit for a quiet drink or meal.
